🚨 In a house where a funeral was going on in the Pasyala area of Gampaha district, on the night of last September 28, a horrible incident of a 04-year-old boy falling into a well in the yard was reported.
As soon as the child fell into the well, the other children who were nearby immediately took action and informed the adults about it. When the people around were screaming and panicking after the incident, a Sri Lanka Army soldier who had come on leave without a second's delay, without wasting time looking for ropes or ladders, immediately went down into the well and brought the child up safely. We all respect the brave action of the military hero who saved this little life by using the appropriate wisdom and courage in the few moments when the people around him were worried and struggling.

Composure & Decisive Action: In an accident like this, screaming and panicking wastes precious seconds and increases the risk of the victim's life. It is essential to assess the situation correctly without panicking and take immediate and correct action.
The wisdom of alerting adults as soon as they see an accident: The other children near the well did not get scared and immediately told the adults about the incident, so the rescue happened immediately. It is extremely important that children are also educated to respond properly in an emergency.
Proper covering of domestic unsafe wells: Unsafe open wells near houses where large number of people hang out should be completely covered with nets or covers.
Call 1990 or 119 immediately for medical relief services in case of any disaster.

දරුවා ළිඳට වැටුණු සැණින් ඒ අසල සිටි අනෙක් කුඩා දරුවන් වහාම ක්‍රියාත්මක වී ඒ පිළිබඳව වැඩිහිටියන් දැනුවත් කර තිබේ. සිද්ධිය සැලවීමත් සමඟ අවට සිටි පිරිස් දැඩි කලබලයට පත්ව කෑගසමින් සිටියදී, නිවාඩු ලබා පැමිණ සිටි ශ්‍රී ලංකා යුද හමුදා සෙබළෙකු තත්පරයක හෝ ප්‍රමාදයකින් තොරව, කඹ හෝ ඉණිමං සොයමින් කාලය නාස්ති නොකර ක්ෂණිකව ළිඳට බැස දරුවාව නිරුපද්‍රිතව උඩට රැගෙන ඒමට සමත් විය. අවට පිරිස කලබල වී දඟලමින් සිටි සුළු මොහොත තුළ තැනට සුදුසු නුවණ හා ධෛර්යය උපයෝගී කරගනිමින් මේ කුඩා ජීවිතය බේරාගත් යුද හමුදා විරුවාගේ අභීත ක්‍රියාවට අප සැමගේ උත්තමාචාරය හිමිවේ.
