🚨 A blue three-wheeler that was running on a by-road in Nawalapitiya, Greenwood area of Kandy district lost control today (2026/10/09) afternoon, ran off the road and crashed on a house on the lower slope. The tricycle that rolled down the mountain slope hit the roof and wall of the lower house and got stuck and the roof and asbestos roofing sheets of the house as well as the front cabin and frame of the tricycle were severely damaged. At the time of the accident, the local residents quickly gathered and held the three-wheeler stuck on the mountain slope with the help of ropes to rescue the injured. The people who were in the tricycle were injured and admitted to Nawalapitiya District Base Hospital for treatment.
