🚨 A white Toyota Hilux double cab that was leaving the Mattala Interchange on the Southern Expressway and driving towards Kataragama lost control due to the rainy weather in the area and suffered a serious accident this afternoon (10/10/2026). While driving on the wet road, the car skidded and hit an electric pole located in the center median that divides the road. With the strong collision, the roof of the cab, the front driver's cabin and the bumper were completely crushed and destroyed, and the electric pole on the road was bent first and fell to the ground. Local residents and security forces have taken steps to hospitalize the injured in the accident for immediate treatment. තෙතමනය සහිත මාර්ගයේ ධාවනය වීමේදී රථය ලිස්සා ගොස් මාර්ගය බෙදා වෙන්කරන මධ්‍යස්ථ තීරුවේ (Center Median) පිහිටි විදුලි කණුවක ගැටී කැරකී ගොස් මාර්ගයේ පසෙක තිබූ යකඩ ආරක්ෂිත වැට (Guard Rail) මතට කඩා වැදී නතර වී ඇත. ප්‍රබල ගැටුමත් සමඟ කැබ් රථයේ වහලය, ඉදිරිපස රියදුරු කුටිය සහ බම්පරය සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම පොඩිපට්ටම් වී විනාශ වී ඇති අතර, මාර්ගයේ විදුලි කණුවද මුලින්ම නැවී බිම පතිත වී තිබේ. අනතුරින් තුවාල ලැබූවන් කඩිනමින් ප්‍රතිකාර සඳහා රෝහල්ගත කිරීමට ප්‍රදේශවාසීන් සහ ආරක්ෂක අංශ පියවර ගෙන ඇත.
