Sinhala Content 🚨 A dashcam camera has recorded an extremely careless incident in which two buses drove in a row without breaking the traffic rules while the red light was on for parking in the traffic light system associated with a pedestrian crossing. Although other disciplined drivers had stopped their vehicles due to the red light of the traffic signal system for the pedestrian crossing ahead, the first bus continued to pass the pedestrian crossing regardless of the red light. Even more dangerously, the second private bus, which followed behind, sped through the wrong lane (opposite lane) and overtook the first bus on the yellow line that was on red light (Illegal Overtaking on Crossing). If a pedestrian or a child were to cross the yellow line when the pedestrian crossing signal was down, it would be a terrible tragedy. Driving licenses of bus drivers who are driving in such a brutal way, endangering the lives of public and pedestrians, should be revoked and strict legal action should be taken. "The scenes of this incident are being published to help create a society free from road accidents through safe driving." β€‹πŸ“Ή Video/Dashcam Credits: Accident 1st Community Network

Running a red light is a criminal offense and has the highest probability of pedestrian collision. Strict Ban on Overtaking at Pedestrian Crossings: Strict Ban on Overtaking at Pedestrian Crossings: According to the Motor Traffic Law, it is strictly prohibited to overtake any other vehicle near a pedestrian crossing or on the pedestrian crossing. Coming from the wrong lane and overtaking over the yellow line, especially when the front view is obscured, directly leads to fatal accidents. Heinous lane violations by public transport drivers: Driving heavy vehicles in wrong lanes by ignoring rules and regulations based on schedules and competition endangers the lives of all road users.
