🚨 Hambantota, Ambalantota 100 feet across Suriyawewa main road, near Mirijjawila dry zone botanical garden, an accident occurred this morning (10/11/2026) when a Tata Dimo Batta type lorry, which was transporting vegetables and agricultural goods, overturned on the road. Due to high speed or imbalance of cargo weight, the vehicle lost control and rolled to the side of the road, and the materials including vegetables loaded at the back fell to the side of the road. The front windshield of the lorry and the side parts of the driver's cabin were damaged in the accident, while the driver escaped with minor injuries. Police personnel arrived at the scene of the accident and took steps to restore normal traffic on the road.
