🚨 Balangoda, Mahawalathenna, an extremely heartbreaking fatal car accident took place on the narrow road near Imbulamura Bodhi this morning (2026/10/09). A private passenger transport bus (Lanka Ashok Leyland Private Bus) which was transporting passengers has been driven backwards (Reverse) about 17 meters to allow another bus that came in front to switch. At that time, a motorcycle that was parked behind the private bus in question was completely submerged in the rear blind spot of the bus. At the time of the accident, the father, who was traveling on a motorcycle to drop his son to school, unfortunately died on the spot, while the school student, who was riding in the back seat, survived with minor injuries. The rear iron bumper of the bus and the motorcycle were trapped under the chassis and were badly damaged. එම අවස්ථාවේදී අදාළ පෞද්ගලික බස් රථයට පිටුපසින් නවත්වාගෙන සිටි යතුරුපැදියක් බස් රථයේ පසුපස අන්ධ කලාපයට (Rear Blind Spot) හසුව සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම යටවී ගොස් ඇත. අනතුර සිදුවන අවස්ථාවේදී සිය පුත්‍රයාව පාසලට ඇරලවීම සඳහා යතුරුපැදියෙන් ගමන් කරමින් සිටි පියා එම ස්ථානයේදීම අවාසනාවන්ත ලෙස ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්වූ අතර, පිටුපස අසුනේ ගමන් ගත් පාසල් සිසුවා සුළු තුවාල ලබා දිවි බේරාගෙන තිබේ. බස් රථයේ පසුපස යකඩ බම්පරය සහ චැසිය යට යතුරුපැදිය සිරවී දැඩි ලෙස විනාශ වී ඇත.
