🚨 A rare and alarming incident of a large elephant unexpectedly storming into a petrol station at Ratmalgahava in Anuradhapura district (2026/10/06) at around 04:07 am has been recorded in a security camera (CCTV) system. In the morning, the employees who were on duty near the fuel pumps and a nearby dog, saw the arrival of the elephant and immediately ran to safe places and managed to hide. The wild elephant left the filling station premises without attacking any person or damaging the fuel delivery pump system, and was spared major damage or loss of life due to the prompt vigilance of the employees.
