Principal of Rangiri Dambulla National School dies in an accident caused by an unscrupulous bus driver on the Dambulla-Habarana road

The principal of Dambulla National School, Mr. Janaka Wijesinghe, unfortunately lost his life in a car accident that occurred in the morning of today (18) at Palwehera area on the Dambulla-Habarana main road. The accident occurred when a super luxury bus traveling from Trincomalee to Colombo could not control its speed and collided head-on with the principal's car coming from the opposite lane and rammed into another car parked on the road and a nearby restaurant. It is further reported that the principal, who was trapped in the car, was rescued by local residents and was admitted to the Dambulla Basic Hospital. Two people in the bus were also injured in the accident.
