🚨 Yesterday (10/07/2026) a van and a motorcycle collided with each other in Kilinochchi, Murusumottei area. The motorcycle was thrown off the road and fell into the deep ditch near a culvert due to this fierce collision. His wife, who was traveling with him, was also injured and admitted to the Kilinochchi District Base Hospital for treatment. The van's front right bumper, lights, bonnet cover and radiator grill were severely damaged in the accident, and the motorcycle was almost completely destroyed. Quality and proper use of safety helmets: Helmets can be seen thrown away at the scene of the accident. If the helmet is worn but the chin strap is not fastened properly, the helmet will come off in the first second of the collision and the head will hit the ground or concrete parts, causing immediate death or severe traumatic brain injury.
