🚨 Today (2026/10/08) at around 05:20 in the morning, a modern Metro bus (Foton Bus) on the CM 02 route running from Millennium City to Petakoto via Athurugiri was reported to have crossed the main road deliberately by a private bus. While a large number of passengers who came to report to work in the morning were inside the bus, the private bus blocked the road thus causing severe disruption to the traffic for more than half an hour. Passengers are alleging that the same private bus caused an accident by breaking the side mirror of a Metro bus in Athugiriya area a few days ago. The authorities should quickly implement the law to curb such disruptive thugs and public oppression that will not tolerate the modernization of public transport.

🚨 අද (2026/10/08) අලුයම 05:20 ට පමණ මිලේනියම් සිටි සිට අතුරුගිරිය හරහා පිටකොටුව බලා ධාවනය වෙමින් තිබූ CM 02 මාර්ගයේ නවීන Metro බස් රථයක් (Foton Bus), පෞද්ගලික බස් රථයක් විසින් හිතාමතාම අනතුරට ලක්කර ප්‍රධාන මාර්ගය හරස් කරගෙන සිටීමේ නින්දිත සිදුවීමක් වාර්තා විය.
අලුයම සේවයට වාර්තා කිරීමට පැමිණි මගීන් විශාල පිරිසක් බස් රථය තුළ සිටියදී, පෞද්ගලික බස් රථය මෙලෙස මාර්ගය හරස් කරමින් පැය භාගයකට අධික කාලයක් රථවාහන ගමනාගමනයට දැඩි බාධා එල්ල කර තිබේ. මීට දින කිහිපයකට පෙරද අතුරුගිරිය ප්‍රදේශයේදී Metro බස් රථයක අතුරුදර්පණය කඩා දමමින් අනතුරක් සිදුකර ඇත්තේද මෙම පෞද්ගලික බස් රථයම බවට මගීන් චෝදනා කරයි. පොදු ප්‍රවාහනය නවීකරණය වීම නොඉවසන මෙවැනි කඩාකප්පල්කාරී මැර ක්‍රියා සහ මහජන පීඩා මැඩලීමට බලධාරීන් කඩිනමින් නීතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කළ යුතුය.
